What is HOTMA?
HOTMA (Housing Opportunities Through Modernization Act) is an act that changes many of the definitions of income and assets for affordable housing programs that use HUD rules. This includes the Tax Credit, HOME Funds, and National Housing Trust Fund housing programs.
HOTMA is effective 1/01/02024 and will affect tenant income certifications that we start as early as September of 2023!
